Just talked to the RV dealership and it looks like we’re on track for delivery around May 17. My new sales guy said they will even deliver it to my home! That’s the first I’ve heard of that. I asked him to check to make sure there’s no extra charge. Not sure if I will take them up on it or not as it would be nice to get the practice driving it home. I also have several items I want installed. I’m getting a compost toilet from Nature’s Head. Solar from Zamp Solar. I also got a hard wired Surge Guard with Remote and I want a TV in my bedroom. Still trying to figure out the best internet boost option and TV reception/satellite option. I may go out on the road first and see what campgrounds have to really see what will work best for me.
Everything is coming together well. Still selling, donating and trashing stuff. Looks like I just sold my last big item, my Subaru. He’s supposed to come pick it up Saturday.
I’ve been busy the last week putting final pieces in place. I joined Good Sams Club and I want to join Harvest Hosts too. This is a unique club where you can spend a free night at participating farms and wineries. I also downloaded a bunch of helpful apps. One cool one is an app to help level your trailer. There’s really an app for everything these days! Good Sams has a great trip planner too that will be very helpful in planning my trips from event to event.
So that’s it for now. Hopefully, just one more week and I can start moving into my new home! I’d love to do a couple of local overnights before I head out into unchartered territory but I’ll have to see how much time I have before my final departure date of June 1.
