I spent all day Friday and Saturday at the RV and camping show in New Hampshire. I’ve learned sooooo much about RVs and what’s best for full time living and have sooooo much to share that I will break it up into a couple of posts.
Friday the show didn’t open until 1pm. My friend Margo went with me. She has a ton of camping experience, experience going to shows and she knows greyhounds. She was a very valuable resource to have when talking to the sales people and looking at the different models to see what would best fit with my new lifestyle.
It was a fairly small show compared to the show I went to last year in Springfield, Ma.. That show was spread out in 3 or 4 huge buildings. This show was in one building that was actually a sports dome. There were plenty of RVs to look at so we had our work cut out for us.
The first thing to determine was what floor plan would work best and how big did it need to be for me to live comfortably in full time with 4 big greyhounds.
We did narrow it down to 1, the Coachmen Catalina50th Anniversary Edition 333RETS. We talked to the sales person, who was brand new, and the manager for a loooonnng time. I negotiated an awesome price that he said would be honored if I put down a deposit before the end of the show. I was very excited as it’s PERFECT! It has plenty of space for all the dogs and me. Most importantly the layout of the bedroom was such that the dogs could all come in without hurting themselves. Every other one we looked at had the bed right at the door and the dogs would have gotten hurt trying to get in there so one after another were checked off the possibility list. So we finished up with taking pictures and videos and off we went.
As we all know everything doesn’t always go as smoothly as we want. Wait til you hear what happened when I went back the next day!
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post and more pictures.
